Prayer Topics

July 7th, 2010

Please remember to pray for Camp before, during and after the event. To assist you in praying for us here is a short list of topics/areas you might like to include – please pass this around your churches too:Praying Hands

  • David Putman:
    • David will be cycling to Camp to raise money for SOFT UK, a charity which supports parents of children with Patau’s and Edwards’ Syndrome (a chromosomal disorder which affects babies during pregnancy).  Please also consider sponsoring him too.
    • please pray for safety (and peace of mind for his mum!), good health and good spirits – and that his saddle-sore wouldn’t be too uncomfortable ;o)
  • First time campers/staff:
    • we are delighted to have some brand new Campers and Staff this year, but it can be quite daunting coming to Camp for the first time
    • please pray that they would feel welcome and settle into Camp life quickly and painlessly.
  • New Group
    • this year, for the first time in Camp’s long history, we are being joined by a non-Brigade group. We are really pleased that some members & staff of Friday Frenzy (part of Whaddon Way Church) will be at Camp this year
    • please pray for our new friends as they anticipate Camp, settle in and join the family.
  • Staffing:
    • we are blessed with a strong team of dedicated Staff who ensure that Camp is well-organised and well-run, but this year we have a slightly smaller team than usual with a number of staff missing in key areas
    • please pray for those areas with fewer staff than normal, that others will be able to fill in the gaps, and be strengthened in the process.
  • Chaplaincy Activities:
    • we are proud of our Christian faith and it now forms the backbone of everything else we do at Camp
    • please pray that the Lord would prepare people’s hearts prior to Camp, and would inspire the Chaplaincy team to develop a challenging and appropriate programme of worship, devotions & activities
  • Safety:
    • everything we do at Camp, from travelling down, to putting up the flag poles, from go-karting, to quad-biking, and even walking to Church, contains an element of risk. Of course, we do everything we can to reduce the risks to a manageable level, but it can’t all be eliminated
    • Please pray for the safety of every element of Camp life.

We will also post any specific requests which come to light during Camp too (isn’t technology great!).

Please download a PDF document containing these prayer points and distribute them at your Church and to your friends and family.
