The Hub – 15th February

Weather permitting, this Sunday we will continue our devotional series entitled “Stop” at this month’s Hub with “Stop and Worship“.  Please be sure to check the website on Sunday afternoon to see if we’ve had to cancel due to bad weather – if the website hasn’t been updated with a “cancelled” message by 4pm, then come along as usual!

The Hub – 18th January

Happy New Year!  I trust you enjoyed your Christmas and New Year break and that you’re raring to go in 2009… now less than 200 days to go to Camp!

We continue our devotional series entitled “Stop” at this month’s Hub with “Stop and Reconnect”; the activities will be focussed on Camp – including some favourite Camp activities, Camp themed refreshments, and the premiere of the Camp video Part Two.  If you know someone who would like to come to Camp 2009 please encourage them to come along and find out what we get up to in the Summer – it would be great to have them join us.

Please note that the latest details of Camp 2009 have now been updated – with one significant change (see if you can spot it) which will be explained at The Hub.  Anyway, here are the details of the next Hub:

Slowing Down; Seeing God

As promised, below you’ll find the slides from the Sacred Reading (Lectio Divina) exercise at The Hub.  You should be able to use these to try the exercise out at home.  You can download a file which contains the original, more detailed notes.

I’ve had a little bit of feedback about the different approach to devotions this year – but I’d love to hear what you think (especially if it’s not working for you).  Please let me know what you think of the more contemplative approach.

The Hub – 16th November – New Venue

We continue our devotional series entitled “Stop” at this month’s Hub. Please note that we will be back at Lovat Hall this month (it’s not a typo) – don’t turn up at WECC by mistake, ‘cos you’ll be sorely disappointed.

We will be showing the first half of the video from Camp 2007 – so if you joined us for Camp last year, make sure you come along.  And more importantly, if you know of anyone who is thinking about attending Camp this year, please make every effort to encourage them to join us so they can see exactly what we get up to!
