A Taste of Camp…

January 28th, 2011

Do you have friends at BB/GB/Amicus that you’ve been trying to encourage to join you at Camp, but without success? Then we’re organising an event which will be of interest to you…

Bring your friends along and join us for an evening of activities designed to give them a taste of Camp. It will include:

  • a taste of Camp food (porridge, cocoa and biscuits)
  • short videos of past Camps
  • games & activities
  • run-through a ‘typical’ Camp day
  • a quick look at Camp themes
  • Q&A – for Campers, Parents & Group leaders
  • a chance to ask questions of campers and staff
  • plenty of time to chat to people who love Camp!

Bring your friends along on Saturday 5th March for the best chance of convincing them to join us at Camp 2011. We’ll be circulating more information to all Companies shortly. You can sign up on Facebook to let us know that you’re coming – and can use the event to invite your friends along too.

If you have any questions, just ask

Camp 2011 Dates

November 15th, 2010

Get your diaries at the ready – get your parents on stand-by – and check-out the dates for Camp 2011. We’re heading to St.Ives, Cornwall, from Tuesday 26th July to Thursday 4th August for what promises to be an excellent Camp. St. Ives is our best site by far – it’s the favourite of many Camp old-times!

Note that we’re going from Tuesday to Thursday (not Wednesday to Monday as usual) – so don’t be caught out. Be sure to point that out to you parents – and tell them that they’re not allowed to book your family holiday during those dates or there will be trouble ;o)

The cost has increased (by just £5!) but we’re still confident that £150 is excellent value for money for a 10 day holiday which includes 3 meals a day (plus cocoa & biscuits), transport, and luxury accommodation*.

Camp forms will be released shortly – they’ll be posted here for you to download them, and will also distributed to your group leaders.  Check out the Facebook Event and let us know if you’ll be joining us!  Also check out the interactive map for a taste of what Camp is like at St. Ives, and see the photos from the last St. Ives Camp in 2007.

If you have any question, please get in touch…

[* of course, by 'luxury accommodation' we mean a tent - if you like that kind of thing!]

Camp Reunion: Bowling

August 11th, 2010

There will be a Camp Reunion this Saturday, 14th August, at City Limits, Xscape from 3pm.

Come along for a couple of games of bowling then a chance to hang out with friends from Camp. Meet outside City Limits then we’ll head in together. If bowling isn’t your thing come along anyway, you don’t have to play but you can still hang out. Afterwards we can all decide what we’d like to do.

Please take a look at the Facebook event and let us know if you’re going to be there.

Be sure to keep up to date with all the latest Camp news and information by doing one of the following:

MK Camp Live

July 24th, 2010

This morning most of the Camp Staff will be heading off to New Milton to set up ready for the Campers to arrive on Monday. Of course, one has left already (Happy Birthday David!)

Whilst we’re away we’ll be posting photos and short ‘live’ updates of what we’re getting up to at Camp (like these ones), so people at home can be part of the fun and the in jokes.  The photos will be posted to here on the website, and if the technology works ok, they’ll also be posted to Facebook and Twitter, so you can follow along in a way which best suits you.

We hope you enjoy the photos!

Camp 2010 Booklet

The Camp Booklets and Polo Shirts and now ready and we’re in the process of distributing them.  But if you can’t wait to find out who you’ll be sharing a tent & table with and who you’ll be serving with on your duty day, don’t worry, because you can download the Camp 2010 Booklet by clicking the image below.

Unfortunately you’ll have to wait for your Polo Shirt as we don’t have the technology for you to download them ;o)
